Portfolio Building Foundation

In this highly specialized course, students will build a solid foundation for a great portfolio! In addition to a wide range of practical art skills and techniques, learn methods of perception, observation, composition and concept development, both in 2D and 3D. Projects are designed to be interesting, engaging, challenging yet fun, with lots of room for originality and imagination. All standard art materials are included. Course/project level is adjusted to different age groups. All lessons and projects are age-appropriate.

Admissions Portfolio Building

The purpose of this course is to help students finish up and prepare their presentations and portfolios for application to secondary/postsecondary art program(s) (deadlines are usually January-February). The course itinerary may vary for each student, depending on which school(s) they apply to. Art materials are included. Early registration is encouraged due to limited class size.

Prerequisite: Portfolio Building Foundation course/camp OR approval by the Program Director based on recent/relevant existing artworks created by the student.
If you need to build your portfolio from scratch this Fall, we recommend our Admissions Portfolio Intensive.

Admissions Portfolio Building 1-Week Intensive

In this 7-day intensive, build your portfolio from start to finish.
This course covers a wide range of practical art skills and techniques, methods of perception, observation, composition and concept development, both in 2D and 3D. The course projects may vary for each student, depending on which school(s) they apply to. Art materials are included. Early registration is encouraged due to limited class size.
